A Revival of Handloom In Tanzania
Weaving Point is a female-owned firm based in Tanzania. Started in 2017, the social enterprise trains and employs young girls and boys to develop artisan skills. Our graduates create uniquely woven, handmade clothing and home accessories using mostly locally sourced cotton.
We are committed to empowering more young girls by donating 2% of every product sold to support their education and training. By choosing our products, you help young women achieve financial independence.
A Brand With Social Impact At Its Heart
Founded on a passion for traditional handloom weaving and social justice, we empower young women and boys who were unable to continue their formal education. We provide hands-on weaving and sewing training along with food, accommodation, and a stipend during the training period.
The program equips participants with practical skills to achieve economic independence and build sustainable livelihoods.
We seek support to expand our reach and create more opportunities for vulnerable youth and women.
By supporting Weaving Point, you are providing meaningful work for at-risk youth and preserving artisan skills.
